Biography

Dr. Bélanger is originally from Ottawa and she obtained her medical degree from the University of Ottawa in 1995. She then moved to Vancouver to complete her residency in OB/GYN at the University of British Columbia, and fell in love with the west coast! After completing her residency, she worked as a locum tenens for four years, filling in for other OB/GYNs in various communities in BC including Vancouver, New Westminster, White Rock, Comox, Nanaimo, and Duncan. She then settled into her own practice in Vancouver, where she has been working since 2003.

She has a general OB/GYN practice located at Cross Roads Obstetrics and Gynaecology.  She is committed to providing compassionate and personalized care to her gynaecologic and maternity patients, with attention to detail. She has a keen interest in education and believes that by educating women about their medical conditions and treatment options, they will be empowered to make health care decisions that are right for them.

She has an interest in minimally-invasive surgery, including minimally-invasive total and subtotal hysterectomy, as well as hysteroscopic myomectomy

2008-2012:  Royal College examiner for the fellowship examinations in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
