2018 Friedman Scholar: Lindsay Richter

Congratulations to Lindsay Richter, one of nine recipients for 2018’s Friedman Award for Scholars in Health.

Lindsay is a student in the Master of Science program in Reproductive and Developmental Sciences, working with research supervisors Dr. Sarka Lisonkova and Dr. Joseph Ting. Lindsay’s research uses a large national database and epidemiological methods to examine recent trends in neonatal mortality and morbidity following spontaneous and iatrogenic preterm delivery.

As a Friedman Scholar, Lindsay will travel to Dalhousie University and work under the mentorship of Christine Chambers, developing content related to neonatal health as part of the “A Spoonful of Science” initiative. This initiative in knowledge translation aims to share evidence-based research on child and maternal health directly with parents.

Congratulations, Lindsay!
