Biography
Dr. Williams is Clinical Associate Professor, UBC Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (the Department).
Dr. Williams has been with the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility of the Department since 1998. Dr. Williams works at the BC Women’s Centre for Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis of BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre.
Dr. Williams’ practice involves helping women with pelvic pain, endometriosis, infertility, menstrual disorders, fibroids and recurrent pregnancy loss. Her expertise is in pelvic ultrasound and advanced surgical management of gynecological conditions, such as laparoscopic removal of fibroids, laparoscopic excision of complex endometriosis, and laparoscopic hysterectomy. Dr. Williams devotes a large portion of her practice to research in diagnosis and management of chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis, infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss.
Dr. Williams is a member of the organizing committee for the 13th World Congress of Endometriosis to be held in Vancouver, BC in 2017.
Teaching
Dr. Williams is an active clinical and surgical teaching faculty, in particular the UBC fellowship in Endometriosis, Pelvic Pain and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery of the Department.
Research Interests/Skills
Dr. Williams devotes a large portion of her practice to research in diagnosis and management of chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis, infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss.
