In July and August, the department offered four weeks of classes to visiting undergraduate medical students from around the world, through UBC’s Vancouver Summer Program. Students were introduced to the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology with lectures from dozens of UBC faculty and others on a broad array of topics in the discipline. Their learning was enhanced with visits to Vancouver hospitals, hands-on simulation training, and tours of local laboratories.
