Pelvic Floor Disorders Education Fund

Pelvic floor disorders, like urinary incontinence, stool incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse impact between 1 in 5 and 1 in 3 women. While not life threatening, they can have a deleterious impact on the quality of life for those who suffer from them. The UBC Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is improving the quality of life of women suffering from pelvic floor disorders by conducting research aimed developing new prevention and treatment strategies and by training the next generation of specialists to provide exemplary care to patients.
