Sara Derikvand, PhD

Sara Derikvand, PhD, joined the UBC Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in March 2023 as Research Project Manager. She provides research management and operational support to faculty and trainees based at BC Women’s Hospital, spanning industry-sponsored clinical trials, non-profit and locally funded projects, and investigator-led studies across the department. Her expertise includes project management, budgeting, ethics and institutional approvals, and regulatory compliance, and she also works to strengthen departmental research processes and supports through initiatives such as the Obstetrical Research & Quality Assurance (ORQA) group. Sara is dedicated to advancing innovative research that improves care and health outcomes for women, children, and families.
Coralie Bergeron, MSc

Coralie Bergeron joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in January 2026 as a Research Coordinator. She will provide support for faculty members and trainees whose research activities take place at sites other than BC Women’s Hospital. Coralie completed her Master’s degree in the Women+ and Children’s Health Sciences program, where her research focused on the metabolic impacts of micronutrient deficiency during adolescence. Prior to joining the department, she coordinated pediatric clinical studies in type 1 diabetes. She brings expertise in project coordination, data management, ethics submissions, and protocol development. She is thrilled to step into her new role and to contribute to impactful women’s health research.
