The Dr Betty Poland endowment provides funds to support the development of embryopathology. This endowment is managed by a multidisciplinary steering committee consisting of representatives from UBC Departments of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Medical Genetics and Pathology.
This year OBGYN will bring in a guest speaker, Dr William Kutteh, who will give a grand rounds presentation on March 21: The title is ‘New Algorithm for the Evaluation of Recurrent Pregnancy Loss’. Dr. Kutteh will be covering the following objectives:
- Describe the frequency of abnormal findings for recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL)
- Appreciate the role of genetic testing of miscarriage tissue in developing a strategy for evaluation of RPL
- Contemplate the roles of preimplantation genetic testing in the treatment of RPL
In addition Dr Kutteh will also attend the Division of REI research rounds and discuss future research collaborations with our center.
Dr. Kutteh is an expert in RPL, Director of Fertility Associates of Memphis and board-certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Kutteh is also Laboratory Director for Memphis Fertility Laboratory, Inc. and Reproductive Laboratory, Inc.
