Welcome Incoming 1st Year Residents (Transition To Discipline) to UBC Obstetrics & Gynaecology Residency Program 2019

On behalf of Dr. Jagdeep Ubhi, Residency Program Director, I am pleased to announce the new first-year residents in the UBC Obstetrics & Gynaecology residency program for the 2019/20 academic year, who will be joining us July 1, 2019.

Two of our own from UBC, and 6 from across the continent – Winnipeg, Kingston, Pennsylvania and Calgary! This cohort will be our first to go through the new Competency By Design (CBD) curriculum. In the new curriculum, the PGY1 year will be known as “Transition To Discipline” (TTD) and they will be based at St Paul’s Hospital and Royal Columbian Hospital during this time. They will continue to be involved with the Surgical Foundations program with the other UBC surgical residents across all specialties.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the CaRMS interview process.  This fantastic match  would not have been possible without your help.

Please join us in welcoming these amazing new residents!
