Welcome to Dr. Mady (Madhuri) Salker

Dr. Salker joins the Division of REI as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Salker is based at BCWH.

Dr Salker graduated with a PhD from Imperial College London, UK and most recently completed her subject specialisation in Gynaecology (Habilitation) from Tübingen University, Germany.

Dr Salker and her team investigate the role of steroid hormone signalling in the human endometrium, especially in the context of prevalent reproductive disorders, such as infertility, endometriosis and pregnancy loss. Her group is also interested in leveraging the abundance of omics data derived from clinically annotated samples to advance mechanistic understanding, biomarker discovery and to elucidate genotype-to-phenotype associations to predict complications.

In her spare time, she is an avid Pretzel enthusiast, she likes to explore new coffee spots and keeping up her 2 (energetic) young sons. She is also fluent in German and is learning Japanese.
