I would like you to join me in welcoming Ilona Ugortsev to the Department. Ilona is joining us as the new Research Manager at VGH. Ilona will be working on Wednesdays and is currently based at home but available by email or virtually for the time being.
Ilona completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, followed by a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at Haifa University, Israel and the Project Management Certificate at UBC Sauder School of Business.
She has a passion for research and has conducted clinical and public health research in the fields of fertility, pediatrics, cognitive development, gastroenterology, nutrition, and epidemiology. She was responsible for managing several projects including coordinating randomized controlled trials, analyzing large datasets, training staff and volunteers.
