I am pleased to advise you that Dr. Deborah Money has been appointed Executive Vice Dean, Faculty of Medicine, effective April 1, 2016.

Dr. Money is a distinguished member of our community as an alumna, Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, associate member in the Department of Medicine and the School of Population and Public Health, and active clinician and researcher in Reproductive Infectious Diseases.

In this new position, Dr. Money, in coordination with the dean, will have a major role in the management of the Faculty of Medicine, including working with the Faculty in the implementation of the five year strategic plan. Dr. Money will also provide operational leadership to Department Heads and School Directors, as well as oversight of academic standards and the administrative functions of the Faculty.

In taking on this role, Dr. Money has stepped down as Vice President, Research at BC Women’s Hospital and Health Centre, Provincial Health Services Authority effective March 31, 2016. Dr. Money will continue to lead an active teaching and research program as a member of the UBC, PHSA and Women’s Health Research Institute communities.
