Rounds

The Grand Rounds are available via Zoom or a hybrid of in person and Zoom.  The sessions are also recorded for later viewing.

There are three distinct components available to you as part of Distributed Academic Rounds:

BC Rounds Calendar – search through an online calendar containing upcoming Grand Rounds sessions across multiple departments and find ones that are of interest to you.

Zoom  – join live Grand Rounds found in the BC Rounds Calendar from any internet-enabled location using your laptop/desktop. Interact with the presenter and other participants via microphone, camera, and/or chat. Simply click on the link and follow the link to join a session remotely.

For those new to this please follow these golden rules:

• Ensure you have downloaded the Zoom app for your laptop/desktop. Further information on how to set up and use Zoom here.  
• Always have your microphone on mute when you join a Zoom session and stay muted during the session.
• Login at least 5-10 minutes before the session starts just in case you have any technical difficulties you need to resolve.
• In order to claim CME Credits you must complete the evaluation form directly after the session.

Med Video on Demand – view video recordings of current and past Grand Rounds sessions through the departmental website.  Recorded sessions will usually be available within 24 hours. Recordings are password protected – for password reminder, contact Andi Martin.

Rounds are classified as a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
