Dr. Jag Ubhi – Clinical Faculty Award for Career Excellence in Clinical Teaching

Congratulations to Dr. Jag Ubhi who received the Clinical Faculty Award for Career Excellence in Clinical Teaching.

Dr. Jagdeep Ubhi has dedicated many years to medical education in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of British Columbia.  He is driven by his commitment to excellence, boundless enthusiasm and creates a positive and enriching medical education environment.  He is an APGO (Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology) scholar.  He has been actively involved in all facets of medical education.  He was the clerkship director for Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2005 to 2013.  He has been the Residency Program Director from 2013 to 2020.

This award recognizes senior clinical faculty members who have demonstrated sustained excellence in teaching over the course of their careers.

 

 

Dr. Marijo Odulio – Clinical Faculty Award for Excellence in Community Practice Teaching

Congratulations to Dr. Marijo Odulio who received the Clinical Faculty Award for Excellence in Community Practice Teaching.

Dr. Marijo O’Dulio is a Clinical Assistant Professor with OBGYN. She is part of the NMP based at PGRH.  Dr. O’Dulio took on the role of DSSL for the UGME program in Prince George in 2008, in her fifth year of practice. Her learners loved the rotation and colleagues felt that her support enhanced their teaching.  She stepped down from this role to become the Department Head, but once her term was complete, returned to her passion for education.   She took on the Site Lead role for the PGME residency program for one of the primary community practice sites.

This award recognizes clinical faculty members throughout British Columbia who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and made an educational impact in a local community.
