The Excellence in Medical Leadership Award is presented annually to a physician who has made an outstanding contribution to the development and mentorship of medical leaders in the field of health services leadership and management.
Congratulations and kudos goes to Dr. Dorothy Shaw, Vice-President, Medical Affairs, BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre. Dr. Shaw is no stranger to awards and recognition – in 2008 she was named one of “Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100” in the Trailblazers and Trendsetters category and has been internationally recognized for her publications and advocacy efforts to advance women’s rights and improve the health of women, newborns, and children.
