Dr. Sarah Munro appointed Co-Director of the Contraception and Abortion Research Team

Dr. Sarah Munro joins Dr. Wendy Norman as Co-Director of the Contraception and Abortion Research Team. The team is a multidisciplinary, pan-Canadian research network of researchers, clinicians, trainees, decision makers, and community advocates. CART members conduct impactful research that improves equitable access to abortion and contraception care. Dr. Munro is an Assistant Professor in the UBC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Gynecologic Specialities, and brings leadership as an expert in knowledge translation and implementation science. She investigates the uptake of innovations in policy, practice, and education, with a focus on bridging access gaps for equity-deserving populations. She supervises CART-GRAC graduate students through the Women+ and Children’s Health (WACH) graduate program and supports fellows through the UBC Advanced Training Program in Family Planning.
