Biography
Dr. Kaitlyn Goldsmith is a registered psychologist practicing at the B.C. Centre for Vulvar Health at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) where she sees patients with vulvar health concerns including vulvodynia, vaginismus, and vulvar diseases. She also has a private sex therapy practice where she sees individuals and couples with diverse sexual health concerns. She is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at UBC and recent winner of the Robert E. Know Master Teaching Award for her upper level undergraduate class, Psychological Aspects of Human Sexuality. Dr. Goldsmith has a passion for understanding and addressing the devastating psychosocial impacts often experienced by individuals with chronic vulvovaginal conditions. She is also passionate about improving education in vulvar health concerns for primary care providers and was instrumental in launching the province-wide online Vulvodynia Toolkit in collaboration with The B.C. Centre for Vulvar Health, Shared Care, and Doctors of B.C.
