Marianne Vidler – Nominated for YWCA Metro Vancouver Women of Distinction for 2019

Recognized nationally, the YWCA Women of Distinction Awards honours individuals and organizations whose outstanding activities and achievements contribute to the well-being and future of our community.

For those of you who don’t know Marianne she is the Pre-eclampsia and Eclampsia Monitoring, Prevention and Treatment (PRE-EMPT) Research Program Manager, Faculty of Medicine at UBC and Acting Program Manager of the Centre of International Child Health. We would like to congratulate her on her nomination in the category of Research, the Sciences & Technology and wish her the best of luck.

In addition to this nomination Marianne also had the opportunity to compete for an additional award – Connecting the Community. For this competition she has chosen to support YWCA’s work on preventing violence against women.
