Welcome to the new OBGYN Research Manager

Please welcome Jessie Dhillon to the Department.  Jessie will be our new full time Research Manager. The Research Manager provides support to all Department members, including coordination of multiple research projects for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology across multiple sites.  The Department is excited to be able to provide full time support for those who need assistance.  In the coming months there will be a second full time Research Manager that will be hired through WHRI and will provide support to the Oak Street campus thus giving Jessie more time to focus on the other sites.

Jessie joined UBC in 2007 and has worked within the Department of Wood Science, and the Faculty of Medicine in the Departments of Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Paediatric Emergency and Anesthesiology, Pharmacology and Therapeutics. During this time, she has managed over 50 research studies/clinical trials contributing in protocol development through to publication.  Previous to joining UBC, Jessie worked in an organic chemistry lab for 5 years as an environmental analyst. Jessie holds a Diploma of Technology from BCIT in Chemical Sciences, a Bachelor of Science Specialization in Immunology and Infection from the University of Alberta, and is a Certified Clinical Research Professional with the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA).

In her spare time, you can find her DIYing, sewing, knitting, painting or moonlighting as a chauffeur/cook/housekeeper to her 13 year old daughter.
