Fred Bryans Leadership Development Program

Fred Bryans Leadership Development Program Open to all Faculty

Our vision

The UBC Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology’s vision is to provide faculty with leadership training that addresses a variety of skills, from administrative to soft-skills training.

The Fred Bryans Leadership Development Program is intended for new and future leaders in the Department. Potential participants will be identified by the Department or Division Head, with preference given to faculty members already in leadership positions, as well as the future leaders within the department. The goal is to build on current skills that will prepare them for present or future leadership roles. The UBC Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology is grateful to Jane Bryans for her support of this program.

We are currently running the third cohort of our Leadership Development Program for new and future leaders within the department this Winter. The goal is to build on current skills that will prepare faculty members for present or future leadership roles. We welcome all faculty to join!

The program will explore topics such as conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, leadership assessments such as Strengths Finder 2.0, and the review of a number of administrative-based tasks, such as learning about fundraising and how to navigate through academic medicine.

If you are interested in signing up for a future cohort please contact the Administrative Director.
