Biography

Julie has research interests in maternal heart disease in pregnancy, as well as preeclampsia. She has published research on H1N1 in pregnancy as well as on placental insufficiency and its relation to maternal thrombophilias.

Julie has an interest in teaching and has been teaching medical students since her Fellowship. She is a frequent lecturer to Medical Students at UBC on the topic of Hypertensive Disorders of Pregnancy and has also been a tutor in the Problem-Based Learning curriculum for first year medical students at UBC.
