Goals and Objectives

  • To develop expertise in the diagnostic evaluation and conservative treatments for urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, voiding dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, rectal prolapse, fecal incontinence, defecatory dysfunction, pelvic pain and gynaecologic fistulae.
  • To develop expertise in the surgical management of urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, fecal incontinence and gynaecologic fistulae. Minimally invasive including vaginal surgical techniques will be emphasized.
  • To assist with training of undergraduate learners through didactic presentations, bedside clinical teaching, surgical instruction and oral examinations.
  • To develop independent research projects from protocol design and acquisition of competitive grants to oral and written dissemination of findings.
